15 Mindful Affirmations to Start your Morning
Your first 30 waking minutes determines the rest of your day - start with mindfulness
“Mindfulness” is the latest buzzword in the health and wellness community - much like self-care, probiotics, CBD, matcha, green beauty, meditation, gut health, plant-based, and social media detox.
Although it seems like the latest craze, if used daily, mindfulness significantly improves your mood, decreases stress, betters your sleep, increases concentration, and boosts heart health.
As you can see, it’s pretty amazing.
To make adding mindfulness into your routine quick and easy, I’ve pulled together 15 of my favorite morning affirmations and linked a special bonus just for you near the end of this post.
You’ll find my “30-Day Gratitude Workbook” that I give to all my health coaching clients, which you can download to further enhance the effects of your mindful morning practice.
So, what exactly is mindfulness?
It’s allowing your mind to be fully present and aware of where you are and what you’re doing without reacting or feeling overwhelmed by your thoughts or the world around you.
At first, this seems like a fairly easy task, but it’s challenging to maintain this focused awareness with your daily stressors, a fully packed schedule, and constant worries sending your thoughts in every direction.
I mean, how often have you found yourself magically in your driveway after driving home from work without any recollection of the drive? Most likely, you were caught up in wondering what to make for dinner or how to talk to a difficult client that your attention drifted away.
Mindfulness snap you back to the now so you can release those nasty worries, frustrations, and stressors that aren’t currently happening - they’ve either already happened (instances in the past) or you’re playing out scenarios for future events.
And, it’s easy to start!
You can practice mindfulness with activities that focus your attention like meditation, walking your dog without listening to music, playing with your children, or working out. But, the quickest way to build up your “mindful muscle”, is by using affirmations and saying them as soon as you wake up.
Like, the second your eyes open and before your feet hit the floor.
Affirmations are powerful phrases meant to instill positive thoughts into your day, so you can attract more positive experiences and reduce the risk of falling into a negative spiral when things don’t go your way.
And the mornings, right as you wake up, is the ideal time since your subconscious mind is still active (want me to go deeper on the power of the subconscious mind? Btw, it controls 95% of your life… Let me know in the comments.)
Then, anytime you feel pulled away by your thoughts, restate these affirmations and you’ll find yourself back to the present.
Start your morning by showering yourself with positivity and mindfulness with these 15 affirmations:
I am awake, energized, and ready to start a productive day.
I am strong, beautiful, and loved.
I am free of worry and I am at peace with who I am.
I am grateful for my health, my mind, my body, and my warm bed.
Every day I grow stronger and more relaxed.
Something wonderful is about to happen.
Good things come quickly and easily into my life.
I am loved and constantly supported by a loving Universe/God/Source/Higher Power.
I send light and love to every cell, every molecule, and every atom of my beautiful physical being.
Even in difficult situations, I easily return to a peaceful and loving state.
I am enough and deserving of everything I desire.
Every challenge is an opportunity for learning and growth.
Money flows into my life effortlessly, easily, and abundantly.
I manifest miracles in my life every single day.
My success is inevitable and I’m on the right path.
I mean, how could you not feel like a badass, empowered woman who’s capable of living her best life after saying and feeling these statements to your core? Even after typing them out I’m ready to change the world! Or, at least, feel motivated enough to organize my closet...
So, now it's your turn.
Screenshot these 15 affirmations or write them down in your favorite journal and read them every morning. Feel free to use other affirmations that better speak to you or change them up as you go.
You can write your favorites on sticky notes and leave them around your house and workspace to remind you throughout the day to stay present and mindful.
Integrating mindfulness into your daily life benefits your health and wellbeing by significantly improving your focus and lessening stress. Your thoughts have the power to change your reality so start making them as positive as possible and see your life change!
